In 1973, Jim Sr. and Bonnie Raver moved their family from Indianapolis to Louisville to pursue a new business opportunity and founded what is now Fireplace Distributors Inc. Officially opening on July 1, 1973, the company began by supplying Majestic fireplaces to local builders and remodelers. Today, we stand as the area's most trusted fireplace enterprise.

Our family legacy continued in 1991 when Tom Raver joined his parents in business, representing the second generation of leadership. In recent years, the third generation has continued that tradition with Alex Raver (2021) and Caitlyn Raver (2025).
Over 50 years later, we are proud to have installed over 70,000 fireplaces. We remain proudly family-owned and operated, built on the same values established from day one: trusted relationships and quality craftsmanship.

What started from the basement of their family home, with rented storage space nearby, quickly grew through strong relationships, dependable service, and a hands-on commitment to the local building community.
As demand increased, Fireplace Distributors expanded into multiple offices, warehouses, and showroom locations across Louisville, continually investing in the infrastructure needed to better serve our clients.
